Housing affordability has reached a crisis point in Montgomery County and across America.
The good news is that there are solutions for the approximately 30 percent of Pennsylvanians who rent. Too many of these individuals and families spend more than 30 percent of their income on housing -- a number that burdens budgets and stresses people out.
The Montco 30% Project's mission is to advocate for housing policy solutions at the Norristown county courthouse and in our state Capitol.
GOALS
At Montco 30%, our goals include advocating for better housing policy in Harrisburg, fairer zoning and housing distribution throughout Montgomery County, and additional funding to reduce homelessness and create more affordable housing.
We strive to train the next generation of civic leaders. Democracy is a participatory sport.
