After a career as a finance and accounting professional, Joanne Mahoney retired in 2023. Her involvement in housing advocacy began when she volunteered to file income tax returns for low-income adults.  A man appeared needing his return filed who told her that he lost both his job and his apartment and was living in his car. This should not happen in America.

She has found Montco 30% as a way to advocate for that man struggling with high rent and  those struggling to buy a home and make a down payments that is more than their annual income.

We need some creative solutions.
